Call To Arms: Millennium Pack Songs

Guess who’s back…
Back again…

Okay – I’ll make this quick. I have a bunch of songs that I want to do for the Millennium Performance pack. Some are already started, but this is your chance to get in on the action.

In the comments, let me know what songs YOU want to see in the up-and-coming Millennium Performance Pack.

To give you some guidance of the kinds of things I’m looking for in songs:

1 – It’s the kind of song you might play in a band
2 – It’s got keyboards in it
3 – The sounds are unique, hard-to-replicate, or just F*©K|#’ really cool sounding
4 – The songs are made after the year 2000

Here are a few examples of songs that I’ve chosen that will be in the up-and-coming pack:
Bad Romance (Lady Gaga)
24K Magic (Bruno Mars)
Dark Horse (Katy Perry)

Obviously there are a LOT more but if you have suggestions, I would love to hear them!

Request: Old Janet Jackson “samples” from the control album and rhythm nation.

Those samples (on old floppy disks) that made the Ensonique mirage sampler popular in the late 80s-early 90s among working Prom/wedding musicians.
    🙏

    • David Champagne says:

I don’t think any of those were made after the 2000’s? They wouldn’t qualify for the Millennium Performance Pack I’m afraid!

  9. David Champagne says:

Thanks so much everyone for all of your suggestions!

Some songs didn’t qualify since they either weren’t in the year 2000 or newer, I already had too many songs from that artist, the songs didn’t contain any keyboards, or the parts weren’t worth investing a large amount of time or effort into making happen.

That said, MANY of your suggestions are making it into the Millennium Performance Pack and I look forward to digging in and seeing what I can make happen!

  12. Adam Thomas says:

Hey man! Just found out about your store and it seems awesome.
I suppose you are still doing these sounds?
I didn’t see Stacy’s Mom by Fountains of Wayne on anyone’s lists. Not a heavy or complicated part but if it can be as accurate as possible to the album track that would be great. Any songs on the album Origin of Symmetry by Muse (2001) which feature lots of synth sounds.
More Jordan Rudess sounds from DT albums from 2001 and 2003 perhaps. Anyway cheers!

  13. Adam Thomas says:

I just thought of another song after listening to the stems of it that would be amazing to have a song pack of included into the millennial pack.
My Chemical Romance’s “Welcome to the Black Parade”! So many great sounds from marching band style horns and organs to great piano sound. If you could consider that, it would be fantastic!

  14. thomas says:

Probably a bit too late 🙂

    Muse – Bliss
    Britney Spears – Toxic
Helene Fischer – Atemlos Durch die Nacht
    The Script – Superheroes
Tones and I – Dance Monkey
    Loreen – Euphoria

  15. Adam T says:

Not sure if it’s too late as well but I thought I’d keep adding suggestions until you say “no more” or just ignore these anyway and finish what you have lol.

    Blink-182-Always
    Muse- Take A Bow
    Muse- Knights of Cydonia

Those 3 are just right after 2000. ‘03 and ‘06 respectively.

  16. Adam Thomas says:

I know this was released in 1993, but just a future suggestion and I keep commenting, I know…but this one is full of Synth/Dance goodness. “What Is Love?” by Haddaway. You know the one I’m talking about? Head banging to the side while club hopping. :D…anyway maybe like a “club” sound pack from some of the hits of the 90’s would be cool to do for those who like EDM or club music from the 90’s? They have some pretty hard synth parameters going on in some songs to my ears to try and replicate. “What is Love?” though would be choice for sure! Keep up the good work with what you do, Dave.

  17. Adam says:

I have another suggestion if it’s not already on your list that’s full of synth goodness.
Shut Up and Dance-Walk the Moon. Popular track with an interesting synth solo lead sound and others used throughout the song. Hope all is well! 👍🏻
